HOW TO MEASEURE YOUR SELF FOR THE SUIT.

JACKET MEASUREMENT

1. CHEST

Stand up straight and hold the measuring tape around your chest at nipple level. Wrap it under your armpits and across your shoulder blades. This gives the measurement of your chest at its widest point.

For women, take two measurements:

  1. Over-chest – Measure as described above, around the fullest part of the chest.
  2. Under-chest – Wrap the tape around the chest just below the bust, where a bra usually ends.

2. Stomach

Measure around the widest part of your abdomen, usually at belly button level. Keep the tape straight and level. Make sure not to suck in your stomach, or the measurement will be inaccurate.

Measure vertically from where the back of the shirt meets the collar seam down to your desired waistcoat length. This is usually from the lower back to the top of the seat.

4. Shoulders

Measure across the top of your back from the tip of one shoulder to the tip of the other. The tape should follow the natural curve of your upper back, not be perfectly straight. If you're unsure where the shoulder tips are, you can measure between the shoulder seams of a well-fitting shirt.

5. Sleeve Length

Keep your arm relaxed at your side and measure from where the shoulder seam meets the top of your arm down to your desired length. Typically, this is at the base of your thumb where it meets your wrist.

6. Neck

Measure around your neck where your collar would sit. If you're unsure of the exact spot, wear a well-fitting shirt to guide you

7. Hip
